AppStage Launches In-Show Hub, Lightshow & Giveaway w/ The Mowgli’s

LOS ANGELES - Dec. 11, 2013 - PRLog -- AppStage launched their in-show hub, lightshow & giveaway last night (Dec 10) with The Mowgli’s at SLO Brew Co in San Luis Obispo. The launch was for iOS 7 and included many new in-show features like the current playing song, lyrics, and aggregated social media from the band and crowd. The launch culminated with a lightshow during The Great Divide where fans held their phones in the air and two lucky winners won free shirts and got to meet the band.

At the start of The Mowgli’s song, The Great Divide, the stage and crowd lights went low. Fans received notifications about the experience and held their phones in the air. Their camera flashes pulsed to the song and lit up the The Mowgli’s on stage. Their phone screens displayed a Mowgli’s slideshow with a color border that pulsed with the song. Towards the end of the song all the phones went dark except for two. These lucky fans’ phones lit up brightly and said: “You won free merch! Come to the merch table to pick it up.” After the show the winners received free Mowgli’s t-shirts and got to meet the band.

AppStage’s iPhone version 1 launch marks the beginning of their mission to enhance live shows by giving fans a single digital place to interact with the show and giving bands an easy way to create digital experiences for their fans. The initial launch also included many additional features. As fans opened the app it automatically detected the show and gave them information about the show, band and tour, aggregated social media from the band and crowd, real-time setlist, lyrics, browse and buy merch and download music.

AppStage is continuing on tour with The Mowgli’s and planning more elaborate experiences with even better prizes. Upcoming tour dates:
