eSchoolView's Student Scholarship Program in Full Swing

eSchoolView is offering student scholarships to any senior in high school interested in web design or development. Entries are due February 2014.

Dec. 11, 2013 - PRLog -- eSchoolView’s Investing in our Future program is in full swing for its third year running. With more than $35,000 projected toward student scholarships, mentoring and other services, eSchoolView is committed to helping students develop 21st century skills, prepare for their future and define their career path.

Eight scholarships are being offered this year through a Web Design & Development contest—totaling $15,000. This contest is open to any senior in high school across the entire nation. The awards will be given in the following increments:
One - $5,000
Two - $2,500
Three - $1,000

This Web Design & Development contest was created for any student interested in pursuing web development, graphic design or other arts. View detailed requirements here (http://www.eschoolview.com/Requirements.aspx).

Students entering this contest are required to develop a homepage and one interior page for an educational website that does not yet exist on the web. The site should be related to a school class or club and should reflect collaborative effort between a “pseudo client” and the student as the designer.

Additionally, students must establish a mock budget and keep a log of meetings with their “client.” An essay or video explaining the need for the scholarship and a project description on how their submission stands out over the rest is also required. One letter of recommendation must be provided as well. Students can register here (http://www.eschoolview.com/Registration.aspx).

Submissions will be graded by a panel of education professionals who will use criteria provided by eSchoolView. Schools do not need to be an eSchoolView client in order for their students to be eligible to enter.

Students may submit (http://www.eschoolview.com/Submissions.aspx) entries up until February 1, 2014. Winners will be notified in April 2014.

eSchoolView’s Web Design & Development contest helps students focus on a career path by simulating a work-environment and a project related to the field. For more information about how eSchoolView is committed to helping students email koleary@eschoolview.com or call 888.932.6460.
