AAMA Announces Top Keynote Speaker for 2014 National Summit

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS – The American Academy of Medical Administrators (AAMA) announced yesterday that Daniel L. Gross, DNSc, RN, will serve as the keynote speaker at AAMA 2014: The National Summit of Medical Administrators.

Drawing on more than 30 years of experience in hospital administration, Gross’ presentation, Health Care Reform: Riding the Waves of Change, will educate attendees on the changing healthcare climate and provide solutions for successfully navigating said changes.

As the Executive Vice President of Hospital Operations for Sharp Healthcare, Gross oversees four acute care hospitals and three specialty hospitals. His leadership and influence in the healthcare industry is apparent through his extensive involvement in multiple professional organizations. Gross is a member of the American Hospital Association Board of Directors, member and former chair of the Hospital Association of San Diego and Imperial Counties (HASDIC) Board of Directors, and past chair of the California Hospital Association (CHA) Board of Directors.

Gross has served as a keynote speaker at several PCP conferences within Southern California and has been recognized for his leadership via numerous awards, including Best Integrated Health Care System in California (13th in the nation 2010), Best Health Care Provider, Best Hospital, San Diego Union -Tribune (2007/2009), 100 Most Wired Hospitals (1999-2009) and the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award Recipient (2007).
