Cuboyo, the 3D printable file sharing platform, introduces a new service – the production of personalized design-, high tech cell phone cases.
Bespoke is the newest venture from Cuboyo.com, a 3D printable file sharing platform launched in June 2013. Following the launch of Cuboyo, a study was published revealing the systemic advantages of 3D printing over traditional injection molding for its reduced environmental impact. This study, realised by Quantis - an agency specializing in environmental life cycle assessment– demonstrated how low production numbers are not possible for the traditional injection molding method, which is only beneficial for mass production. 3D printing, on the other hand, as exemplified by Bespoke by Cuboyo, enables high quality customizable objects to be produced in smaller quantities, thus preserving natural resources and minimizing waste. Smartphone cases have rarely been as environmentally friendly – another reason Bespoke by Cuboyo’s smartphone cases are actually smart.
With this new service, Cuboyo aims to promote the use of 3D printing for broad access to customization possibilities.
For Further Information
Cuboyo LLC was created in Switzerland in 2013 by three 3D Printing enthusiasts. They felt that there was not an accessible marketplace for buyers and sellers to exchange 3D printable files to fully realize the revolutionary possibilities of 3D printing.
