Annual Community Holiday Giving at Caring for Others

ATLANTA - Dec. 8, 2013 - PRLog -- Each year, Atlanta non-profit Caring For Others hosts its Community Holiday Giving Day to provide families in need with clothing, toys and food to make their season brighter. This year, the pre-registered families served by Caring For Others will find bags filled with toys, shoes, books, pajamas and clothing for their children.

This year’s Community Holiday Giving Day on Saturday, December 21 from 12 to 3 p.m. should see about 300 families heading to Caring For Others to receive brand new clothing and toys to celebrate the holidays. Caring For Others will distribute food and clothing to area senior citizens the same day.

“Our mission at Caring For Others is to help people dealing with life’s challenges maintain their dignity,” says Shockley. The organization provides only brand new items to its clients – and all of those items have been donated by the manufacturer or through a partner organization. We are so thankful for all of the support we have received.”

Caring For Others also runs the adjacent CareMart, a store featuring brand new merchandise at discounted prices. CareMart is open to the public for shopping Monday through Thursday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Friday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. CareMart supports the work of Caring For Others.
