Works.io is a free online tool for emerging and professional artists that sets a new standard for artist portfolios. This tailor-made solution enables artists to show their art, document their careers and get connected.
Founded by Abe Han, a UX designer / developer from Vancouver, Canada, Eyal Zucker, a digital marketing expert from Israel, and Patrick Urwyler, art historian and gallery owner from Switzerland, Works.io uses the latest web technologies and is based on a deep understanding of artists’ professional needs. The public beta version comes with powerful features that support artists in managing the two most essential elements of their career profile: Portfolio & CV.
An intuitive interface with standardized descriptions, automatically generated layouts with a clean and professional design and instant sharing via social media are features that not only save time and help keep things up to date - they set a new standard for artist management. But that is just the beginning of the young startup’s bigger vision:
“We’re building this artist-driven platform with the goal of connecting and engaging art professionals and art lovers, with contemporary art in ways that were never possible before, even just 10 years ago.”
The launch of works.io had already attracted several hundreds of artists from 20 countries around the world, using works.io as their online art portfolio, showcasing thousands of art works. Currently the Works team is working on a new management tool for galleries that will facilitate the collaboration between art professionals.
