Total Access Urgent Care Hires Director of Provider Relations

ST. LOUIS - Dec. 5, 2013 - PRLog -- Total Access Urgent Care has recently hired Vicki Platke as its new Director of Provider Relations. In this role, she provides important support for the clinicians that treat the growing number of patients who are choosing to receive care at Total Access. Ms. Platke draws from 14 years of healthcare experience and 11 years of information technology (IT) experience.

Ms. Platke is fully committed to working with physicians and other providers, especially as the nation heads into uncertain times regarding healthcare. She believes now more than ever that clinicians need strong advocates who can provide them with support as they move through their careers. Ms. Platke’s previous professional experience has prepared her well for her new role.

Before joining Total Access Urgent Care, Ms. Platke held the position of Physician Recruiter/Network Development Specialist for SSM Health Care from 2008 to 2013. SSM Health Care, a full-service healthcare network is one of the largest healthcare organizations in the St. Louis area. According to SSM Health Care’s website, this network includes seven hospitals, a managed care organization and a physician’s organization consisting of more than 250 employed doctors. In this role, Ms. Platke was responsible for recruiting doctors from all types of specialties. During her time at SSM Health Care, she helped the healthcare organization reduce expenses through the development of a low-cost, high-return recruitment program, as well through the implementation of a new vendor management program.

Ms. Platke has also previously worked for other health organizations as a network development specialist and as a physician recruiter, and she has been self-employed as a career and outplacement counselor. Furthermore, she has experience working as a recruiter for major IT companies. Ms. Platke has a B.S. in Education with a focus in Counseling Psychology from the University of Missouri, Columbia.
