Dec. 5, 2013 - PRLog -- London - Unit shipments of Imaging Hardware in EMEA increased by +6% Y/Y for Q3 2013, according to data published by CONTEXT, the European IT market research company.

Germany, Spain and the UK all registered double-digit growth for the period, with overall Shipments for Western Europe up by +7%. The Middle East and Africa region also recorded growth, with Shipments up +8% for Q313 vs Q312.  A strong performance of +26% growth from UAE, the largest market in the region, was the principal driver of this result.

Unit shipments to Central and Eastern Europe remained flat for the period, which is an improvement on the previous quarter’s decline. This was principally a result of the +8% Y/Y growth recorded in Russia for Q313.

“Year on year unit shipments across EMEA register a positive growth in the third quarter of this year mainly due to HP which increased sell-in levels into EMEA by +17%”, said Zivile Brazdziunaite, Imaging Analyst at CONTEXT. “HP holds over 40% share in total shipments for this period and saw positive growth through all imaging categories year on year.”
