Much anticipated McLaren P1 finally revealed
NATIONAL - ONLINE, South Africa - Dec. 5, 2013 - PRLog -- This is what culminated at the most anticipated supercar launch of the year hosted by Daytona Group and Standard Bank Private Banking on Thursday evening November 28th at the showroom in the heart of Sandton.

Commemorating a decade in the industry, Daytona Group not only had reason to celebrate this milestone, but also the centenary birthday of legendary British motoring icon, Aston Martin, as well as the 50th birthday of renowned Formula 1 competitor, McLaren. The unveiling saw five new jaw-dropping models drive onto a ramp in the centre of the marquee, which further lead to a rotating platform, allowing everyone to admire and drool over every detail the marques had to offer.

These included the Rolls-Royce Wraith and three new ultra sleek models from Aston Martin, namely the Rapide S, the Vanquish Volante and the V12 Vantage S. The showstopper was of course, the much anticipated McLaren P1, which revealed itself as a stunning bright yellow, technological masterpiece.

“We couldn’t be more pleased with the overwhelming turnout on the evening and the response following this amazing event. The last 10 years have been for the books and I look forward to the next 10 so thank you to everyone for all the support,” said CEO of Daytona Group, Justin Divaris.

Event organiser, LIVEOUTLOUD Events, pulled out all the stops for the launch with an impressive marquee stretched across the courtyard of the venue, glow in the dark cocktail tables, chill out lounge areas, a glossy white floor, free flowing champagne and whisky, Samsung Ultra HDTVs around the venue and live streaming via high-tech technology supplied by Antfarm and LaserNet. “This is one of the biggest events our team has put together and we are extremely proud to have been a part of it,” said Beverley Pothier, MD of LIVEOUTLOUD Events.

Entertainment came in the form of DJ Euphonik creating some beats on the decks, the ever gorgeous MC and newly appointed brand ambassador for Aston Martin, Jeannie D, and lead singer of popular local music group Prime Circle, Ross Learmonth, who took to the mic after the final reveal. Celebrities in attendance included Nicky van der Walt and wife, Lee-Ann Liebenberg, Top Billing presenter Jonathan Boynton-Lee, model Nadine Lee, local actor Heino Schmitt and springbok rugby player Francois Hougaard amongst others.

The evening proved a glittering success for all, as the best of breed alignment between Standard Bank Private Bank clients and Daytona Group was clear for all to experience. It was the supercar launch of the year, and will certainly keep everyone talking about these extraordinary cars for months to come… until the next big launch, that is.
