TRUE MAGAZINE’S Straight West Coastin’ Issue & 15th Anniversary

Dec. 4, 2013 - PRLog -- {Dec.  10, 2013 Beverly Hills CA} On December 10th 2013 TRUE Magazine will kick start its 15th Year in publishing with the themed issue Straight West Coastin’ for December/January.   This year’s annual themed issue will have the rising Hip Hop star Problem gracing the cover representing the West Coast Hip Hop movement.  Problem spoke with us on this opportunity with some big dogs in the game such as Snoop Dogg, DJ Quik, Daz, and Kurupt. "They allowed me to absorb all of their game. Constant words of wisdom, the good and the bad of the game, etc., even 'til this day, they are very influential in what I do today." Problem also told us how he’s focused on breaking the strereotype and boundaries with his niche audience.  Also in the issue we will look back  at  the decades of West Coast Hip Hop & which one did best and exclusives stories with E-40 & Ty Dolla $ign about where they see West Coast Hip Hop now.

This issue is an amazing start for TRUE Magazines 15^th Year celebration that will be in June during BET Weekend.  Publishing a Hip Hop magazine for 15 years is a feat that is hard to reach in this ever so changing world of publishing. Magazines have come and gone but TRUE Magazine has always been there, and 2014 will put TRUE in that group of Hip Hop magazines that only XXL & The Source can say they’ve done.

15 Years, is a long time and a lot of Hip Hop. The stories our pages have told is like going to the history channel and watching how the 21st century Hip Hop was evolved.  I can’t wait to see what the next 15 years will bring us at TRUE Magazine. Our team is always coming up with new ways to deliver Hip Hop and it keeps me being a fan.
