Be the First Swirl of Honor Shop in Your Area for Free

SAN FRANCISCO - Dec. 4, 2013 - PRLog -- The International Frozen Yogurt Association announced the start of a special promotion to establish Swirl of Honor^TM shops across the world: Be The First Swirl of Honor Shop in Your Area for Free. The IFYA will waive the $60 application fee for any shop that is the first to apply for the Swirl of Honor^TM program in its "area."

First in its “area” is defined as follows:

* United States: Be the first shop to apply in your state
* Canada: Be the first shop to apply in your province or territory
* Outside of the US and Canada: Be the first to apply in your country, when the Swirl of Honor program is available in your country.

The Swirl of Honor^TM program is available in two dozen countries. The complete list of countries can be found on the IFYA website under Swirl of Honor FAQs. To check to see if you are the first shop to apply in your area, email the IFYA at info@internationalfrozenyogurt.com or fill out the contact form on the IFYA website.

The complimentary membership period is for one year from the date the application is processed and approved.

“The Swirl of Honor program recognizes frozen yogurt shops for their commitment to frozen yogurt excellence,” said IFYA President, Susan Linton. “It also helps consumers find the best frozen yogurt shops in their area. When a frozen yogurt shop applies, we examine their health scores, ingredients list and more – things that consumers don’t have access to – and this allows us to judge frozen yogurt shop quality.”

Swirl of Honor^TM shops are evaluated based on four elements: frozen yogurt quality, customer service, store cleanliness and eco-friendliness. Shops apply to be part of the program. After their application is scored, they receive 1 to 3 swirls (1 swirl = good, 2 swirls = very good, 3 swirls = excellent).
