COLUMBUS, Ohio - Dec. 4, 2013 - PRLog -- Columbus, Ohio – The Great Vacations Travel EXPO, presented by AAA, is thrilled to announce that two stars from one of the most popular shows on television will appear at the EXPO.  Flying in from West Monroe, Louisiana, Justin Martin and John Godwin, from A&E’s popular “Duck Dynasty,” reality showwill take the AAA Travel Stage on Saturday, Jan. 25 at Noon.  Complete information on the Great Vacations Travel EXPO is found at www.AAAGreatVacations.com.

During their appearance, Godwin and Martin will talk about their meteoric rise to fame after the company for which they work, Duck Commander, became the feature of a reality TV show that turned out to be an instant viewer favorite.  The two will tell firsthand what it’s like to star on one of TV’s hottest shows as they share behind-the-scenes tales from “Duck Dynasty.” They’ll take audience questions and will sign autographs following their stage appearance.

Martin and Godwin both are employees of Duck Commander and have been friends with the Robertson Family, which owns Duck Commander, for more than a decade.  Duck Commander builds and sells duck calls and other duck-hunting merchandise. The company also manufactures and sells deer hunting merchandise under the Buck Commander name.

Justin Martin has worked for Duck Commander since 2008, building duck calls, cutting brush when the team goes duck hunting, and, because of his size, carrying the heaviest loads.  Martin is often known to get caught up in the practical jokes and pranks that are frequently seen on “Duck Dynasty.”  A lifelong hunter and a Duck Commander employee since 2002, John Godwin manages supplies, oversees the shipping department and serves as a lead decoy technician. During hunts, Godwin figures out the exact spots where decoys should be placed and services all equipment after the hunt to make sure it is ready to go again the next day.

The Great Vacations Travel EXPO opens Friday, January 24 and runs through Sunday, January 26, at Franklin County Veterans Memorial in Downtown Columbus.  EXPO hours are Friday: Noon - 7 p.m.; Saturday: 10 a.m. - 7 p.m.; and Sunday: 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.  Tickets are $8 at the door (AAA members receive 50%-off admission).  Children 16 and under are admitted free.
