NEW JERSEY, N.J. - Dec. 4, 2013 - PRLog -- Dr. David Berk, a leader the field of sports medicine and an active member of both the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians and the National Strength and Conditioning Association, states "that the most common injuries from arm wrestling can fall within two categories:

Tendindosis, which is sometimes called chronic tendinitis, often occurring in the elbow as a result of the twisting motion.  It is similar to what most people called tennis or golf elbow.  It is painful immediately.

Traumatic injuries such as ligament tears and sometimes fractures occur where the power comes from the shoulder and elbow. "

What’s the severity of these types of injuries?

For tendinosis, the treatments range from 4-8 weeks, assuming there’s no re-injury via competition, etc.  Basically, for proper healing, rehabilitation and exercise can work best.  If there is any breakage from a traumatic injury or a displaced fracture, then the average healing time is about 6-12 weeks.  To learn more, visit The Advanced Physical Medicine Center at www.advancedphysicalmedicinecenter.com.
