Can You Catch Up? – First SmartTrack Running App for Windows Phone Launches

BOSTON - Dec. 4, 2013 - PRLog -- The App Cauldron, Inc. announces Track Runner, a new premium running app, is now available in the Windows Phone Store.

Running enthusiasts developed Track Runner with the runner in mind first and foremost. The app is optimized to deliver GPS tracking, records and statistics to the highest level of accuracy. Tools to keep track of and share the runner’s improvement are combined with a sleek and intuitive user interface.

“I started running regularly half a year ago and know from personal experience that seconds really matter when trying to improve. The app is equiped with an auto-track feature that adjusts records and stats and prevents the run data being skewed by warm-up, breaks, or cool-down. Track Runner is also the only running app with intelligent track and lap recognition. Theapp recognizes every track the user has previously run on and automatically labels tracks accordingly. If the runner has run laps – be it on a running track or around a pond or park – Track Runner provides lap splits and records.

Track Runner’s unique Performance Genius and its advanced statistics use proven methods to further enhance the training experience. The Performance Genius employs Greg McMillan’s approach to estimate the runner’s potential times for popular race distances. The app’s calorie counter is based on research findings by Stanford University physiologists for improved accuracy.

Voice notifications keep the runner up-to-date about their performance during a run. Support for running under the lock screen reduces battery drain. Achievements can be shared on social networks including Facebook, Twitter and via email.

Users will enjoy options to log indoor training, add notes, and import and export GPX files. The automated backup option prevents loss of running data. Unlike some other apps, Track Runner does not require any sign-up or expensive memberships.
