A 4-day hands-On workshop on “Big Data Analytics” has started on 30th Nov 2013 by Center for Analytics, dots2drops, at their Madhapur office, Hyderabad, India. Participants were a mix of directors, senior software engineers from MNCs and few engineering students. It was inaugurated by Kesava Reddy, CEO of Niyasys Technologies. While speaking on the occasion, Mr.Reddy said, “Businesses have now started looking at how to provide better experience to their customers instead of focussing on just selling their products and services. Soon Governments will use analytics heavily to balance power-cuts, to avoid traffic jams, to predict spread of diseases in a season, to predict food grains production region-wise, etc. All of these are possible with intelligent use of analytics on top of available data. He also said, number of new jobs in Analytics area in trending up highly and it will continue to grow next 10 years and the average annual salary of an analytics expert aborad has gone above USD $200,000.
While sharing his experinces, on this occasion, Mr.Kishore, a Data Scientist by profession, said “the enterprises and Government departments have enormous data. It will be more meaningful when this data is processed, analysed and used for the improvement of the society.”
