Through the new community, which focuses on style (including design, fashion, architecture, photography and all kinds of art), the readers get inspiration, insights and trends; all from a variety of different bloggers, angles and perspectives, and all in one place.
”We know that people like to use a variety of blogs as a source of information and inspiration, but we also know that in Asia, and in Hong Kong in particular, we just don’t have time to click around to 20 different websites. This way, we want to help people get in contact with all the creative and talented people out there, by gathering all in one place, a one stop shop for inspiration”
All the bloggers in the community are still blogging with their own distinct voice, portray their own style and are responsible for their own content, but use Style by Asia as a platform to collaborate and reach a wider audience, than if blogging on their own.
So far, the community has not done any marketing of its existence, but inquiries from existing bloggers and other creative individuals who wants to join the community continues to pour in.
Sandra Smedhall is overwhelmed by the interest from the market:
”Although I knew that something like this was missing in Hong Kong, I didn’t know there was such a craving among the bloggers to get a common platform to collaborate on when we launched”.
Style by Asia will continue to expand with more bloggers from a broad set of backgrounds, interests and fields over the coming months.
