Hampton Construction Chosen to Build Lexington Regional Health Center Addition

LINCOLN, Neb. - Dec. 3, 2013 - PRLog -- Lincoln, Neb. – Hampton Construction broke ground on the Lexington Regional Health Center’s new Family Medicine Specialists Clinic in Lexington, Nebraska.

Founded in 1976, the Lexington Regional Health Center is a critical access hospital in the heart of Nebraska.

The $2 million project will be located just south of the hospital, and will feature 4 physician suites and 12 patient rooms in approximately 8,140 square feet.

Lexington Regional CEO Leslie Marsh said the reason for building the new addition is because the hospital is thinking about the future of the Lexington community.

“By building this we are making sure the Lexington community has the right number of health care providers,” she said. “This isn’t just about right now. We’re looking at this and how it will impact the community 20 and 40 years from now.”

“We want to be able to attract and recruit new physicians to Lexington and keep them here,” Marsh said. “This will allow us to do that.”

Designed by Wilkins Hinrichs Stober Architects, construction began in November and is slated for completion by Spring of 2014. The project utilizes many local vendors, which was important to the hospital.

Lexington Regional Executive Director of Ancillary Services, Don Young commented, “Any time you can use local vendors it’s a positive for the community. It means you are putting money back into the community and keeping money in the community is a good thing.”
