However, an additional condition has been imposed that in all cases of FDI in Brownfield pharma projects, there will be no non-compete clause in any of the inter se agreements. There is also a deep concern with regard to the image of the pharma industry in india due to the severe attack from the regulatory bodies such as US FDA. Pricing continues to be the challenging factor as majority of essential drugs are controlled by the pricing mechanism of the government. Healthcare insurance again is a concept in womb in india.
