Smart City Networks selects seven good causes to support this holiday season

Dec. 3, 2013 - PRLog -- LAS VEGAS – Continuing its long-held holiday tradition, Smart City Networks (http://www.smartcitynetworks.com) will again make monetary contributions to several community organizations across the country.

Throughout the year, Smart City employees participate in various charitable events and drives in their hometowns. In the same spirit, Smart City Networks announced that the company will donate a total of $7,000 to seven selected charities across the country this holiday season. The company selects different charities from various regions of the country each year, and many are organizations that the Smart City facilities support year-round.

This year, Smart City Networks is donating to the following good causes:

The Cincinnati Reds Community Fundwas established in 2001 to improve the lives of youth through baseball-themed outreach efforts. As the nonprofit arm of baseball's first professional team, it strives to create programming that connects underserved children with baseball, while creating fundraising programs that connect baseball with the community.

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Charlotte serves over 2,100 youth members at seven locations across Mecklenburg County. Their mission is to enable all young people, especially those in need, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

The Martinez Street Women's Center is in its 14th year serving San Antonio’s East and South East community. Their Community Health Promotora Program strengthens families by increasing access to preventative health services, facilitating referrals to basic needs resources and enhancing the knowledge and awareness of health issues in our community.

The United Way of Greater St. Louis unites people of different backgrounds and interests to strengthen health and human services in Missouri and Illinois. Today, the United Way of Greater St. Louis helps one in three people in the St. Louis region annually.

Anaheim Cops 4 Kids is dedicated to developing the foundational qualities of respect, responsibility and discipline by providing structured programs that foster a positive relationship between police and youth ages 5 to 17 who live in or attend school in Anaheim, Calif.
