Renfro Foods receives Safe Quality Food (SQF) Level 2 Certification

FORT WORTH, Texas - Dec. 3, 2013 - PRLog -- Renfro Foods, makers of the Mrs. Renfro's brand of specialty salsas, sauces and other products, recently completed the rigorous Safety Quality Food (SQF) Level 2 – HAACP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points) Certification process.

Trusted worldwide, the SQF certification program ensures that products have passed thorough international standards for food quality and safety by the Safe Quality Food Institute. SQF is recognized by retailers and foodservice providers around the world who require a rigorous, credible food safety management system.

To achieve certification, Renfro Foods was required to implement and/or upgrade the following comprehensive quality and food safety programs: Document Control, Management, Good Manufacturing Practices, Pest Control, Food Safety, Supplier Approval, Good Laboratory Practices/Quality Control, Production, Customer Quality/Complaint Management, Shipping/Receiving, Sanitation, and Maintenance.
