"True Love" Painting by Christi Scofield Debuts at Art Basel Miami Beach

Scofield, based in New York City, is known for creating artwork with positive, uplifting themes and bold, vibrant colors.  Her Pop Up Theology paintings highlight inspiring messages from world religions.

True Love is a work of acrylic on canvas and measures 12” x 12”.  It is based on the biblical passage Romans 12:9, which reads:

LET LOVE BE GENUINE
ABHOR WHAT IS EVIL
HOLD FAST TO WHAT IS GOOD

"The heart represents genuine love that is overcoming evil, represented by the lightning bolts behind the heart," Scofield said from her studio on Manhattan's Upper East Side.  "The hands on the four corners symbolize the support and embrace of what is good."
