New 12 days of Christmas line-up for 2013

NORTH HAVEN, Conn. - Dec. 4, 2013 - PRLog -- Christmas is most wonderful time of the year regardless of your belief system. Songs like Chestnuts roasting on an open fire, Santa Clause is coming to town, and Rudolph the red nose reindeer are all among holiday favorites.  Christmas trees, ornaments and lights are included in festivities, and the mistletoe – you already know.

The 12 days before Christmas is at least 12 days away, however the beloved and very popular Christmas Carol can be traced back to European and Scandinavian traditions to the 1600’s.  Frederick Autin was given credit for the arrangement in early 20^th century when he added the coveted 5 golden rings – by far the most memorable of the gifts.

Traditional versions have been covered by artists all the world over singing of 12 days of 12 gifts from a true love in cumulative order, and it (the song and gifts) goes a little something like this …

A partridge in a pear tree, 2 turtle doves, 3 French hens, 4 calling birds, 5 golden rings, 6 geese a-laying, 7 swans a-swimming, 8 maids a-milking, 9 ladies dancing, 10 lords a-leaping, 11 pipers piping, and 12 drummers drumming,
