Holiday Shoppers Can Support for Local Makers at the 2013 Chicago Winter Renegade Craft Fair

Blackhawk Street and will involve many independent artisans from around the city, who will be there attempting to sell their wares.

The Renegade Craft Fair was started here in Chicago in 2003. Since then it has become a worldwide phenomenon, appearing in cities such as New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Austin, and London, England. Its roots in Chicago still remain strong, and two markets, one in the summer and one in the winter, are held in the city every year. The mission of the Renegade Craft Fair is to connect the public with independent goods makers.

By many accounts, Renegade has been fantastically successful in accomplishing that mission. Attendees are given the chance to buy goods ranging from jewelry, to clothing, to cookware, to pottery, and even food and drink all made by the hands of a local artist. Food will be provided by Flying Saucer, Dia De Los Tamales, Black Dog Gelato, Glazed and Confused, Intelligentsia, and many other vendors.
