Dec. 2, 2013 - PRLog -- The Renegade Craft Fair (http://www.conciergepreferred.com/chicago-shopping/5402-holiday-shopping-at-chicagos-renegade-craft-fair-2013.html) is hosting its eighth annual winter market the weekend of December 7 and 8 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. It is occurring at the Pulaski Park Fieldhouse on 1419 W. Blackhawk Street and will involve many independent artisans from around the city, who will be there attempting to sell their wares.

The Renegade Craft Fair was started here in Chicago in 2003. Since then it has become a worldwide phenomenon, appearing in cities such as New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Austin, and London, England. Its roots in Chicago still remain strong, and two markets, one in the summer and one in the winter, are held in the city every year. The mission of the Renegade Craft Fair is to connect the public with independent goods makers.

By many accounts, Renegade has been fantastically successful in accomplishing that mission. Attendees are given the chance to buy goods ranging from jewelry, to clothing, to cookware, to pottery, and even food and drink all made by the hands of a local artist. The Chicago winter fair is returning this year just in time to be the perfect place to pick up one-of-a-kind gifts for friends and family before the holidays.

The Chicago winter fair will host over 150 talented makers from around the area. it will also offer entertainment, including music from local Chicago Record purveyors (http://www.conciergepreferred.com/live-music-in-chicago/5...) Dusty Groove, Chirp Radio, and Reckless Records, and a free photobooth from Magnolia Photo Booth Company. Food will be provided by Flying Saucer, Dia De Los Tamales, Black Dog Gelato, Glazed and Confused, Intelligentsia, and many other vendors.

Attendees who are looking to stick to public transit can count on a free trolley ride from the Division Street or Damen Avenue Blue Line Stops. Cab rides using the Uber App are also eligible for a discount for new users.
