7 Year Old Girl Donates Birthday Presents To The Non-Profit "Enchanted Makeovers"!

Dec. 1, 2013 - PRLog -- On December 7, 2013, two special milestones will be celebrated!

Olivia Schaumburger of Michigan will be celebrating her 7^th birthday and she has invited the non-profit organization, Enchanted Makeovers, to celebrate their 7^th year anniversary with her!

When Olivia over-heard her mom talking about Enchanted Makeovers, she said to her, "all I want is an American Girl Doll for my birthday and my friends to donate money to EM."  Olivia was so moved and thankful for all they do she wanted to recognize and help their mission.  You see, Enchanted Makeovers is a 100% volunteer organization that works to transform the lives of women and children who live in long-term stay homeless shelters.

What Olivia loved the most is they have a number of programs especially dedicated to children that focus on the power of imagination.

Olivia has been wishing that she will get her very own American Girl Doll for her birthday.  When she learned that Enchanted Makeovers has a program called the "Doll Adoption Program", she wanted all her other gifts to be donated to them to help with these programs for children.  In addition to the Doll Program, there is "Capes for Kids" and "Stepping Into The Dream".  They want every child to be reminded with the hand-made capes they are their own "Superheros".  And through the shoe program, where artists paint the child's dream on their shoes, they can put footsteps to their dreams with each step they take!  You can view pictures of these special children's programs on their website www.enchantedmakeovers.org.

So what started out as a small birthday party is turning into a great event to celebrate Olivia and her wish to raise funds for Enchanted Makeovers.  The word spread fast around town and the community has donated gift baskets to raffle, food and desserts and will donate "7 for 7: $7 toward Olivia's American Girl Doll and $7 for Enchanted Makeovers' programs.  Also, Olivia's friends will make a bracelet to bring home and will make one for a little girl (princess) living in a shelter. The party has gotten so big it is being moved to a community hall!
