Prci Pune Chapter Organises A Seminar On The Pr Age And Launches YCC Pune Chapter at VAMNICOM

Nov. 29, 2013 - PRLog -- PRCI (Public Relations Council of India) Pune Chapter launched the Young Communicators Club for Pune, during a seminar it held on the PR Age on the 23rd of November at the Jubilee Hall in the VAMNICON ((Vaikunth Mehta National Institute of Cooperative Management) campus.  Dr S.N Pathan ( VP – Indian Council for Cultural Relations ICCR) was the Chief Guest and Mr M.B Jayaram (Director – PR and Administration – Karnataka Power Corporation Ltd) was the guest of honour.

Mrs Shabnam Asthana (Director National Executive PRCI & VP PRCI Western Zone) during her inaugural address traced the development of PRCI as a credible organisation and how it has emerged as a name to reckon with today. She urged students to become members of YCC and take advantage of the PRCI Umbrella. She further outlined how PRCI and YCC not only in Pune but nationwide would jointly work towards upholding the cause of delivering effective and ethical PR through good communication!

Dr Pathan in his keynote address stressed on the importance of good communication and how PR could further this in many ways. He was very happy to note and complimented the efforts of Mr Avinash Gawai (PRCI Chairperson) and Mr Sanjeeb Patjoshi (Director Vamnicom) in offering the young students the platform of YCC to promote effective and good communication. During this meet Mr Patjoshi announced that VAMNICOM would assist PRCI with all its infrastructural support to support YCC and encouraged PRCI to spread the YCC wing to encompass all the colleges in Pune.

Mr Jayaram in his talk gave inspiring examples and shared success stories from his life which illustrated how important it is to be a good communicator.  He said that each individual has a lot of potential it has to be tapped properly to get him or her to deliver the best.

The names of the YCC Pune Chapter office bearers were announced by Mr Avinash Gawai and include:

Ms Akansha Joshi as President, Ms Rutuja Patil as Vice President, Ms Priyanka Chikhale as Secretary.

The event saw a good turnout of students, PR professionals and academicians and VP PRCI Pune Chapter , Mr Amol Maokar and Joint Secretary PRCI Pune Chapter Mr Rajsingh, said that under the able  leadership of their current  Chairperson Mr Avinash Gawai , they had chalked out an impressive line up of events and activities for the future as well.
