Recording Artist Honors Dying Spouse’s Last Wish; Makes Whirlwind Comeback

Performer Declares That It Is Never Too Late For a Second Beginning; He Lost Everything Except His Determination and Is Now Planning to Release His New Project’s Debut Album

CHANDLER, Ariz. - Nov. 29, 2013 - PRLog -- Chandler, Arizona-The comeback story is the kind of thing that Hollywood movies are made of. The epic battle to overcome hardship and the triumph of the human spirit in the face of adversity is the making of legends. Recording artist and Renaissance man, Derek “D-day” Kendall is no exception. Despite losing everything a few years back, this year finds him, not only launching the company that bears his name, but more so, the companies within the company. Kendall Entertainment Company’s makeup includes a Custom Guitar Company, Percussion Company, a Cymbal Company and the online music store that is their official home. However, it is the “buzz” of Derek’s plan to release his new project, OUTLAW INC.’s debut album entitled, “667 beyond evil, baby!” in August of 2014 that is, both, the remarkable and the romantic triumphant factor. That and the fact that he will do so on his newly formed record label, Goliath Records, in Sound Mind Studio, also a “K.E.C.” child. This was the promise that he made to his late wife, Nancy.

In 1999, amidst a most promising career, Derek, known to most by his nickname, “D-day”, and Nancy were graced with Nancy’s becoming pregnant …with twins. The pregnancy was a rough one, with Nancy having to be hospitalized several times until, on May 15, 2000; and 1 month early, the pair were delivered by emergency c-section with mother, baby girl and baby boy, all three, fighting for their lives!  Luckily, and with thanks going to the staff at Phoenix Children’s Hospital, all survived. However, Nancy’s body had been heavily taxed. And so, with no decision needing to be made, Derek, doing what any husband and father would, put his music career on hold to take care of his newborn, “preemie” twins, Hunter and Kayce, and his disabled wife.          Nancy passed away just before Christmas at 6:45 pm on December 7, 2005.  Before Nancy died she made Derek promise that he would continue with his music and to see that it was shared with world.

Now, more than two years into the planning and writing of the project that included an eight month demo/research phase, plans for the studio that is to be constructed have been finalized and budgets drawn up. Remarkably enough, building the studio and funding all aspects of the stage and light show will cost less than 50% of what the cost of just recording the album in a comparable studio’s “A” room, due to D-day’s (Derek) not needing to “farm out” the tracking to a studio at $100+/hr. Regarding the demo research, D-day states that,” all businesses do market research and I need to see how a couple style variations would fair in a ‘cold call’ setting.”

“We were blown away by the results of the demo/market research project we did,” said Danielle Caparn, Derek’s right hand “man” and Fiancée. “Out of the 5 songs submitted to a reputable music and music licensing online venue, each would make the Top Ten Charts, including two songs on the Top Ten Male Vocal; two on the Top Ten Hard Rock and Heavy Metal and even one song on the Top Ten Arizona along with doing well with the 25-36 and the 37-50 year old listeners and each of the songs would stay on the Top Ten beyond the duration of our 8 month market run.” Danielle added, “Not bad for a one man show. Derek does all of the instruments and vocals as well as recording, producing and mixing."    You can view the research results as well as hear some of the demo at OUTLAW INC.’s”667 beyond evil, baby!” INDIEGOGO.COM and KICKSTARTER.COM  crowd funding project sites at:
