Cass Business School alumna wins at the Women of the Future Awards

Nov. 28, 2013 - PRLog -- Two Cass alumni were nominated in the category, Beth and fellow MBA graduate Izindi Visagie.

The award 'recognises a female MBA student of exceptional vision, talent and promise.' Both women were nominated for their commitment to entrepreneurship and the vision and success of their respective businesses.

Described by judges as an "entrepreneurial sharp-shooter who's going places", Beth has turned her passion for the Middle East and Africa into a successful research and advisory firm, Frontier MEA, which she co-founded in 2009. The firm specialises in business intelligence on frontier markets, providing a vital connection between fast-growing economies and the rest of the world.

Beth said: "I am honoured and amazed to win the award when you look at the profiles of the nominees - all very talented individuals. It comes at quite a pivotal moment for our company with a flurry of post investment expansion activity into new markets, which is exciting and daunting in fairly equal measures. I hope I can live up to this award and make a success of it."

Cass Business School's other nominee, Izindi Visagie, is founder of Ivy Legal, a specialist law firm that deals with planning enforcement on behalf of local authorities. She said: 'To be nominated alongside amazing women such as Beth is an honour. I'm delighted for her win and pleased that the award came to a Cass graduate. It validates the quality of our MBA and the School's fantastic support network for entrepreneurs."

Hosted by Real Business and sponsored by Shell the awards are in their eighth year and are the largest national search for exceptionally talented women. They were launched by the Women of the Future network as a platform for promoting successful young women in the UK.
