DELAVAN, Wis. - Dec. 2, 2013 - PRLog -- Delavan, WI, December 2, 2013 – Prairie Tree Landscaping has begun the installation of 2.5 miles of permeable paver roadways throughout Assembly Park

“The new permeable paver roadway system being installed will be the first roadway of its kind in the state. It will act as an example for other developments looking to lessen the impact of storm water runoff on our pristine Wisconsin lakes, rivers and streams” – Eric K Weishaar, President Prairie Tree Landscaping

Excavators and dump trucks began removing the old asphalt road and installing the gravel base on November 25th 2013. Construction is expected to take 2 months and be completed sometime in January 2014. The pavers, manufactured by Unilock of Elkhorn, WI will be installed on the compacted gravel base. The pavers allow water to pass between them eliminating runoff and keeping contaminants out of the lake. Assembly Park is home to 210 seasonal and fulltime residents. Prairie Tree, which was acquired by Breckenridge Landscape of New Berlin, WI in April, 2013, has installed several permeable paver projects in WI, but this will be the first roadway project. The project engineer is Collins Engineering of Milwaukee, WI
