Brooklyn Queens Nursing Home Celebrates as Thanksgiving and Hanukka Share the Stage

NEW YORK - Nov. 27, 2013 - PRLog -- The celebration of both Hannukah and Thanksgiving on the same day is a unique occasion. This is the first time this has happened in over 100 years, taking place last in 1888. Each holiday celebrates an event that occurred in totally different time periods; Hannukah is a Jewish holiday that celebrates the defeat of King Antiochus by the Maccabees in the time of the holy Temple in Jerusalem while Thanksgiving celebrates the peace made between the Pilgrims and Native Americans in colonial America.
