Camp Twin Lakes of Atlanta Featured in New Subaru of America, Inc. Ad

Camp Executive Director Eric Robbins highlighted in custom spot to air on CNN

ATLANTA - Nov. 27, 2013 - PRLog -- For the past 20 years, Camp Twin Lakes has collaborated with other local nonprofit organizations to provide life-changing camp experiences to children with serious illnesses, disabilities and other challenges.  On Sunday, Dec. 1, Camp Twin Lakes (CTL) will be featured in a Subaru of America, Inc. ad scheduled to air during CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute.

For a custom spot that complements Subaru of America, Inc’s sponsorship of CNN Heroes, the auto company sought out a long-time Subaru owner who was performing philanthropic work in their local community.  The ad features CTL Executive Director Eric Robbins while illuminating what the camp experience is like for participants and their families. In a measure that extends their support of CNN Heroes, Subaru of America, Inc. has pledged to match every dollar donated up to $250,000 to the charitable works of the Top 10 CNN Heroes of 2013.

“I’m excited about the opportunity to share my love for both Camp Twin Lakes and Subaru in this commercial spot,” said Robbins. “CNN Heroes is a wonderful recognition program, and I’m honored that Subaru of America would choose to highlight Camp Twin Lakes and myself.”

CTL partners with nearly 60 nonprofit organizations – each serving a different population – to create customized programs for its campers. Since its establishment, CTL has served more than 50,000 campers across three campsites in Georgia. Robbins has served as CTL’s Executive Director since September 2005. Based in Atlanta, he oversees all staff and operations of CTL and works closely with the Board of Directors to set goals and implement CTL’s strategic plan. He is a three-time Subaru owner since 1987.

CNN Heroes is a multi-platform campaign that shines a spotlight on individuals who go to extraordinary lengths to serve others. CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute will air Sunday, Dec. 1, at 8 p.m.
