The mission of the NYC Faith in Action Coalition for HIV/AIDS is to educate the Communities we serve on issues of HIV and AIDS Prevention, Care and Education.  Formed in 2008, the Coalition is a city-wide partnership comprised of individuals, Faith Organizations, Health and Secular Organizations working collectively toward the goal to reduce and eliminate HIV and AIDS in New York City.  The New York City Faith-based and Community Organizations is committed to meeting the wider social and economic needs of individuals affected by HIV. We support programs and policies that provide and improve access to HIV prevention education, treatment and care. Despite our successes, the coalition remains acutely aware that HIV-related stigma and discrimination continues to seriously hamper efforts to engage individuals to get and stay connected to HIV care.  As a part of our HIV and AIDS community engagement, the coalition will host its 5 year community evaluation meeting to discuss our successes and current related social services issues as we “Turn the Tide together”.
