Associated Petroleum Products expands into Oregon with the acquisition of Pioneer Oil Co in Portland

PORTLAND, Ore. - Dec. 2, 2013 - PRLog -- Associated Petroleum Products (APP) headquartered in Tacoma, Washington has announced today that it has acquired Pioneer Oil Co. located at 9270 NE Glisan, Portland, Oregon.  Pioneer Oil Co., founded in 1905, is a well-established fuel marketer featuring on-site fleet fueling, cardlock services, and bulk fuel delivery to commercial fleets as well as heating oil for residential customers.

According to APP President/CEO Luke Xitco, “APP is already in the Portland market and surrounding communities with APP Propane and some fuel, this move has given us the needed company footprint to expand our product offering and geographic reach.” Frank Pupo Jr., Executive VP/COO further commented.  “APP and Pioneer Oil Co. have had a long partnership together with cardlock and fleet fueling opportunities and we are familiar with the existing customer base and market.  This opportunity to acquire Pioneer Oil Co. fits into our long-term company goals to grow in areas with strong economics.”
