Tara Antler continues ‘How To Live Awesome’ Series with How to Live Awesome in Business

TORONTO - Nov. 25, 2013 - PRLog -- We all know a great business from a not-so-great one. And we’ve all had experiences dealing with businesses that are wonderful and then others which are complete hell. Most of us, whether in a corporate environment or as entrepreneurs face this world of contrast in business – those who function from money, greed, blame and power-struggle and those who function from passion, compassion, understanding and willingness to collaborate and create mutual successes. The old world of how business was done of me, me, me is now clashing with the new world of WE!


As businesses expand globally and relationships are established not personally but virtually over cyberspace, attitudes and business ethics need to evolve to allow for different perspectives and clear expectations.  Your work ethic needs to be demonstrated so trust and understanding can be built. There are a few truths that are learned along the way, and some that need to be taught.  In her recent blog, Tara Antler offers her Top 8 Tips on How to Live AWESOME in Business:


1.       Take full responsibility for your actions, inactions, words, lack of words and anything else that feels imbalanced for you.

2.       Do not blame others. Release the urge to point the finger at anyone. This is not a blame game. Choose the resolution route.

3.       Grow past your pains. Feel the emotions and allow space for them to teach you something of a deeper truth. Your emotions are powerful teachers….giving you insight as to what’s really there, what the wounds really are and an opportunity to grow past your pains.

4.       Let your heart fuel your power. Communicate from the heart and yet stand in your power. Never give your power over to others. Rest in your heart before making any decision or speaking any words.

5.       Be willing to meet half way. Business, like any other partnership, is a dance. We both contribute energy into the dynamic and we equally need to walk toward each other. If not, you will be walking away.

6.       Trust your intuition or gut from the beginning. You will always be given an insight as to whether to move forward in a certain interaction or not. Trust what you get.

7.       Things aren’t always as they seem. Because it is US who are viewing life, everything is up to our interpretation or perception. Can we for a moment take a step out of the drama and lift up higher into a broader view of what’s really happening?

8.       Use the power of your words to speak love and appreciation. Share kind, loving and generous words to those you do business with. Something as simple as, “YOU are AMAZING!!” or, “I soooooo appreciate YOU” goes a long way and sends out ripples of positive light that expands that person and you!
