DEARBORN, Mich. - Nov. 24, 2013 - PRLog -- Sonia Jackson Myles, Founder of The Sister Accord, recently held the second "High Tea" of her Sister Accord Tea Party Tour in metro Detroit, MI.  Over 50 high school aged girls attended the session, along with 30 Sister Accord mentors.  In addition to all of the momentum and positive results being garnered from The Tea Party efforts, Jackson Myles is starting to see early fruits of her labor "I'm so honored to have TJ Maxx become a business partner with The Sister Accord Foundation." she stated.

"Our mutual efforts to support the girls and women in the community is a true win-win-win: for TJ Maxx, The Sister Accord Foundation and the community-at-large."

Erica Charles, District Manager, TJ Maxx and Dr. Glenda Price, President of Detroit Public Schools Foundation were on hand to bring greetings to the attendees.  The students were given a special "Sistabration" surprise via Skype with the talented EriAm Sisters from the Seattle, WA area.  The beautiful sisters sang two songs and discussed the importance of The Sister Accord movement with the teens.

"We work together and live together and it can be difficult sometimes." the sisters stated, "We use the Sister Accord principles to work through our issues." One of the songs sang by the group was "On and On," written by Haben EriAm, focusing on the topic of bullying.

Dr. Glenda Price, an influential education-industry leader in the metro Detroit area, shared "The goals of The Sister Accord Foundation and movement of educating girls and women, enlightening girls and women of the Power of Sisterhood, and eradicating bullying and violence against girls and women are indeed noble goals.  They are important goals and they are goals that will have an impact not only on the individual women and girls who participate, but also on their families, on their communities, thus on the world."

In 2014, The Sister Accord "High Tea" Tour will visit the following cities:  Atlanta, Birmingham, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, Louisville, Nashville, New York, Seattle and Washington DC.
