BERTHOUD, Colo. - Nov. 22, 2013 - PRLog -- To honor the hairy month of Movember and raise awareness of men's health issues the crew at City Star Brewing will be sporting moustaches (real and fake) at their second annual Movember celebration this Saturday 11/23. The Berthoud brewery will donate $1 per beer sold all day 12-10pm in the downtown taproom to the Movember Foundation. A 5pm Mo (moustache) Competition will send exemplary moustaches home with growlers of City Star beer and the "Best of Mo" winner will also receive two free NoCo Short Bus Tour tickets. Local musician Kristina Murray will be playing at 6pm and Taterlicious food truck will be serving up loaded baked potatoes in the evening.

Owner of City Star Whitney Taylor says, "When taproom regular Dan Riffell with his Movember team Soup Strainer Society approached me about hosting a Movember event in 2012 I didn't know much about the cause, but I knew facial hair and beer go hand in hand. Now in our second year of hairy shenanigans, I'm proud City Star supports the Movember Foundation and encourages a conversation about men's health. I'll be sporting a pink moustache at the event!"

Movember is the month formerly known as November, where men and women across the globe join together to raise awareness and funds for men’s health. Men grow and women support a Mo (moustache) for 30 days becoming walking, talking billboards. Movember supports world-class men’s health programs that combat prostate and testicular cancer.

Men who support Movember, called Mo Bros, start by registering at Movember.com. Mo Bros start Movember 1st clean-shaven, then grow and groom their Mo, for the rest of the month, raising money along the way. Women who support Movember, called Mo Sistas, also start by registering at Movember.com. Mo Sistas champion the Mo by registering and supporting the Mo Bros in their life, spreading the important message of men’s health, leading a team and organizing events.

City Star Brewing offers award-winning, small batch American ales, hand crafted on a 3.5 barrel brew system in the heart of downtown Berthoud, Colorado. John and Whitney Way, owners of the 1.5 year old brewery, believe beer is best consumed fresh, directly from its source, and they've adopted a taproom-centric model encouraging this.
