Daley Events & Storm PR Agency Present 'A Night Of Giving' Holiday Party
(New York, NY) - Thursday November 21, 2013 - On Wednesday December 4th at 49 Grove, Daley Events & Storm PR Agency will host the 2nd Annual 'A Night Of Giving' Holiday Party benefiting The Artest Foundation and People's Resource & Development Association, both non-profit organizations seeking to continuously provide means of betterment for today's youth. 'A Night Of Giving' has an end goal to interlace the organizations during and after the event in an attempt to gain new supporters and raise funding for the programs.
With what seems to be a divine retribution amongst today's youth with acts of gun violence rising and lack of after-school programs in urban areas, we need more organizations with the action plan in finding a resolution. Founder of The Artest Foundation Ron Artest Sr. says Having my kids grow up in Queensbridge and realizing how their lives could have turned out differently without community activities and involvement inspired me to start The Artest Foundation. The original goal was to keep kids off the streets, give them a better quality of life and to give them opportunities that they may not have had otherwise. This helped us to determine our mission focusing on issues concerning gun violence, mental health, financial literacy and education in our various communities. We want our youth to excel in life through education and sports.”
Impecunious reasoning for programs closing is the disadvantage that youth have to resources. There are too many children who do not have the same opportunities that their parents were afforded at their same age with after-school programs, such as big brother and big sister mentor programs that offered positive outlooks and self-esteem building.
People's Resource & Development Association co-founder Lanise Herman - Thomas recipient of the 2013 Image, Entertainment, and Distinction Humanitarian Award also creator of The Original Housewife Collection Apparel is driven by the lack of leaders in our communities because they are succumbing to violence. That passion made headway to the start of their Anti-Generation Genocide Program "Peoples Resource & Development Association is very passionate about helping our youth. It's very rewarding to see the positive impact we have on the children enrolled in our programs. We're molding and creating leaders!" says Lanise. The coined phrase "It takes a village to raise a child" is indispensable to our generation, they are misguided and need to know that they are people who want to see them succeed. It starts with us leading them!
