The 12 training sessions on The Lie Boat! are designed to enhance the student's ability to conduct effective, ethical and persuasive interviews and interrogations with topics such as The Psychological and Cultural Factors of Deception, Foundation and Principles of Investigative Interviewing, Cognitive Interviewing as well as Micro Expressions and Emotions within Interviews. There will also be training sessions and workshops on Investigative Statement Analysis as well as the Causes and Prevention of False Confessions.

Professionals who will benefit greatly from the training on The Lie Boat! include but are not limited to investigators within local, state and federal law enforcement agencies, military investigators and intelligence officers, investigators within corporations and the insurance industry, including insurance adjusters and SIU investigators, along with fraud investigators and human resource professionals.
