Library Foundation of Martin County Elects New Officers

Nov. 21, 2013 - PRLog -- Priscilla Baldwin, President of the Library Foundation of Martin County announced three new board members at the annual meeting of the Foundation on November 7 at the Blake Library in Stuart.  Joining the board are Christine DelVecchio of US Trust, attorney Wesley R. Harvin II and Charles “Chuck” Cleaver of Martin Health Systems.

         As the new board members came on, it was also time to thank retiring board members Helen Blake, George Coates, Lon Kight, James Knister, Kathryn Bass, Patty Downing and David Shoaf for their service and acknowledge them with a token of appreciation.

Christine DelVecchio is a private client adviser of U.S. Trust, Bank of America Private Wealth Management's Treasure Coast offices. DelVecchio, a 20-year associate, works closely with clients to develop an in-depth understanding of individual and family wealth management needs and preferences.

Chuck Cleaver is Vice President/CFO of Finance at Martin Health Systems. He has been with Martin Health since 1984. His responsibilities include direct supervision of  finance operations and all treasury functions.

Chuck is very involved in the community and is currently a member of the United Way of Martin County, United Way Foundation of Martin County, treasurer of the Council on Aging of Martin County, and a founding member of the Friends of the Volunteers in Medicine Clinic.  Chuck has also previously served on the boards of The Education Foundation of Martin County, the Indiantown Non-profit Housing Authority, and the Catholic Charities of the Palm Beach Diocese.

Wesley R. Harvin II, Esq. is the tax and asset protection partner of the law firm Harvin & Harvin, LLP, which was founded in Stuart by his father in 1976. Wes grew up in Stuart, attained his Eagle Scout here, and graduated from Martin County High in 1994. He graduated with Highest Honors from the University of Florida Classics program, focusing on Ancient Greek poetry, then went on UF law school for the JD and University of Miami for the LL.M.

The Library Foundation of Martin County is a non-profit organization whose mission is to acquire and administer funds to enrich library services and facilities not met by public funding and to endow the library system for future generations.
