Why Palm-Harbor Clearwater Florida is my favorite place to live

I was born in St. Petersburg Florida in 1962, went to college in Springfield Missouri, my first job after finishing college at USF in Tampa was teaching school in Boston and I lived in Cincinnati, Ohio for eight years until  I finally returned to Palm Harbor, Florida in 1997.  I have visited many cities and small towns including San Diego which with Boston are two of my favorite cities in The United States.  Palm Harbor-Clearwater are home though and my favorite place to live because:

1. Vacation-Tropical weather eight months out of the year.  It does get a little warm here from June through September but because of our proximity to The Gulf Of Mexico and cool ocean breezes, it rarely gets above 90 degrees even during the those warm Summer months.  Normal highs from October through May range from the low 70's to the mid 80's.  We do get an occasional cold-front where the temps fall to the low to mid 50's but it usually only last a couple days and then it's back to 75 degrees.

2. We live 1 mile from Honeymoon Island, considered one of the top 10 beaches in the world.

3. Caladesi Island is a half mile by boat from The Dunedin Causeway.

4. If you are looking for more action than Honeymoon Island and Caladesi Island provide, Clearwater Beach with Miles of white sandy beaches and world famous hang outs like Frenchy's Rock-Away Grill and The Palm Pavilion await with excellent food, drinks live music and the best Sunsets on the West Coast of Florida.

5. The Gulf of Mexico offers endless opportunities for boating, fishing and scuba diving.

6. Tampa Bay and Lake Tarpon are just a few of the additional boating and fishing hot spots.

7. If you are looking for a great night out with your family or friends, Palm Harbor-Clearwater offer countless options from The Thirsty Marlin in downtown Palm Harbor, Chick-A-Boom in downtown Dunedin to 5 star world famous Bern's Steak House in Tampa.

8. If you like great sports action, Palm Harbor-Clearwater are 30 minutes from the home of The Tampa Bay Buccaneers, The Tampa Bay Rays, The Tampa Bay Lightning, USF Bulls and the spring training homes of The Phillies, The Toronto Blue Jays and The New York Yankees.

9. Palm Harbor-Clearwater Florida offer a wide range of homes and prices ranging from $100,000 to $20,000,000.  The average single family home is selling for $230,000 and prices are on the rise again after 6 years of depreciation.

10. Finally, my last reason Palm harbor-Clearwater Florida is my favorite place to live is amazing schools, committed teachers who work hard and care and the best High School sports in the country.
