Nov. 21, 2013 - PRLog -- The DLP client, a 59 year old woman from the south of England, contacted the specialist dental negligence solicitors after the substandard dental work from her dentist proved to be a failure.

She originally visited the dentist in question during 2008 for consultation over a loose tooth. The dentist suggested the installation of a 14 unit bridge; described as a ‘smile makeover’. Unfortunately, the patient suffered a number of problems as a result.

The bridge was a poor fit and knocked against the patients actual teeth since the bridge teeth were too long. A number of other defects meant that food would get caught under the bridge and around the edges.

Upon visiting a new dentist in 2012, the client discovered that the entire bridge would need to be replaced and the prognosis for a number of her teeth was not good.

She contacted the Dental Law Partnership to provide assistance in launching a dental negligence claim against her original dentist. While the dentist in question did not admit any liability, the expert solicitors at the DLP were able to secure a sum of £15,000 in dental compensation as part of an out of court settlement.

Speaking after the decision the woman said: “I am so grateful to the Dental Law Partnership for their help- I never thought I would have to sue my dentist, but the Dental Law Partnership guided me through the process and I can now pay for corrective treatment.”
