SNEB Webinar: Is Lactose Intolerance Stopping Your Dairy Intake?

 
Nov. 20, 2013 - PRLog -- The Society of Nutrition Education and Behavior (SNEB) is hosting “SNEB Webinar:  Is Lactose Intolerance Stopping Your Dairy Intake?,” a live webinar on Thursday, December 5 from 2 p.m. – 3:30  p.m. EST. The webinar is sponsored by St. Louis District Dairy Council This webinar will improve nutrition educators' understanding of lactose intolerance and equip them with the information they need to help their clients and patients overcome this real or perceived barrier to dairy consumption and attain the numerous health benefits associated with dairy foods. Presenting during the webinar are Connie Diekman, M.Ed., RD, CSSD, LD, Washington University in St Louis.

Lactose intolerance is a common reason that consumers avoid dairy foods and miss out on the numerous health benefits associated with them. However, myths and misconceptions regarding the prevalence, diagnosis, and treatment of this condition abound, both among consumers and nutrition educators.

This webinar is free for members of SNEB. Register online at http://www.sneb.org/events/webinars.html. The cost for non-member attendees is $25 but the first 200 non-members to register will attend as guests of St. Louis District Dairy Council. Attendees will earn 1 CEU.
