Teresa Clarke The prestigious event is scheduled to take place on December 7th under the theme, “Ripple Effect.” This year’s conference will feature African leaders such as Nigeria’s Finance Minister Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and South African journalist Redi Tlhabi. TEDxEuston is an independently organized event hosted by a collective of African professionals in collaboration with globally recognized conference, TED. Now in its fifth season, TEDxEuston continues its mission, facilitating an environment for cross-disciplinary conversation and the sharing of ideas centered on responsible engagement with Africa. Ms. Clarke’s TEDxEuston talk is entitled “The Diaspora Divide” and promises to be an inspiring speech identifying ways to unite Africans on the continent and throughout the world. As the former managing director of the investment banking division at Goldman Sachs & Co., she has a wealth of knowledge about African investment. Ms. Clarke spent 20 years doing business in Africa. In March 2013, she was invited to speak on her engagement with the continent at the White House. There, she shared tips with entrepreneurs interested in entering Africa’s markets. In June, Ms. Clarke joined the White House Press Corp and traveled with President Obama and the First Family during their trip to Senegal, Tanzania and South Africa.
