Kleinfelder Expands Capabilities in Carolinas to Meet Emerging Opportunities Across the Country

RALEIGH, N.C. - Nov. 20, 2013 - PRLog -- RALEIGH, North Carolina – Kleinfelder (http://www.kleinfelder.com/) today announced its hiring of Matthew Woolsey, Chris Berner, Justin Gerner and John Creech. The new hires showcase Kleinfelder’s promise to meet market demand from the company’s energy, government, facilities, and transportation clients.

“We have expanded our talent pool and capabilities in North Carolina to meet the needs of our clients across the nation,” says Colin Davis, Regional Delivery Manager for Kleinfelder North Carolina. “We’re committed to maintaining this momentum by drawing from the region’s strong pool of engineering talent and expertise to deliver the best projects locally and globally.”

The recent additions include civil engineers Matthew Woolsey and Chris Berner, materials engineer Justin Gerner, and special inspection manager John Creech, all of whom joined Kleinfelder to oversee staff and execute projects in the energy, government, water, and transportation markets.

Kleinfelder has been operating in North Carolina for over 30 years, following the 2008 acquisition and integration of Trigon Engineering Consultants, Inc.  During this time, the nearly 60 professionals in the company’s Charlotte, Greensboro, and Raleigh offices have become key components of Kleinfelder’s Global Technical Network, providing design, engineering, and construction management services for energy, facilities, and transportation projects in the Carolinas and around the country. Examples include multiple solar facilities in North Carolina, pipeline engineering services to the shale gas market in the mid-Atlantic region, construction materials testing/special inspection services for the CATS LYNX Blue Line Extension light rail project in Charlotte, and $100-million plus development projects in California and across the nation.

“The global architecture and engineering industry is evolving, and represents tremendous career opportunities for today’s students, engineers, scientists, and project managers,” adds Davis. “As our company continues to grow, so too will our operations in North Carolina. Growing our operations will provide professionals the opportunity to work on challenging projects locally, nationally, and globally. We look forward to another 30 years of growth in the region.”
