Miracle Motor Mart Expanding North Location -- Miracle Motor Mart

COLUMBUS, Ohio - Nov. 20, 2013 - PRLog -- Award-winning local Columbus business Miracle Motor Mart is expanding into a new location to better serve its customer base. Located on the same one acre lot for twenty-four years, Miracle Motor Mart's flagship store at 2380 Morse Road has grown from a small, one trailer operation employing fifteen people to today's two-location business with nearly fifty employees and an inventory of approximately 400 cars. By constructing a new building, the company hopes to avoid some of the inconveniences of the current set-up, which divides staff between three double-wide trailers.

In 2012, this family-owned, independent dealership beat out hundreds of other used car dealers as Ohio's Independent Quality Dealer of the year, and then went on to win the coveted title of "National Independent Quality Dealer for 2012." Eager to build on that recognition and improve their available services, Miracle Motor Mart is expanding their Morse Road location, and has already broken ground on a brand new building. They'll be moving operations from three doublewide-trailers to a brand new 4,000 square foot facility, hoping to retain their reputation as one of Central Ohio's best used car dealerships.

"It will be good to have everyone under one roof," said General Sales Manager Chris Godwin. No longer will customers have to wait while employees try to reach each other by phone or by moving from one trailer to another; the new building will have an open showroom and house everyone in easy reach that prioritizes good communication practices. In addition, Miracle Motor Mart has acquired new property to the west of their original location, upping their overall lot size from the one acre that started it all to nearly double that. With all of the additional space, the Morse Road location will be able to increase their available inventory by twofold, offering customers between 160 and 180 easily accessible cars, rather than having to transfer them from their larger second location at 5100 East Main Street. The Morse Road location is even adding a two-bay car wash, so that every car sold will not only be serviced and detailed by Miracle Motor Mart, but will receive a wash so customers can drive off the lot with a vehicle that looks and feels brand new.

Most work on these cars is done at Miracle Motor Mart's East Main Street location, which already boasts a twenty-bay service garage and parts department, with a fully-trained staff capable of servicing between 700 and 750 cars a month. Their ASE-Certified technicians inspect and repair every car that passes through Miracle Motor Mart's doors, and also perform oil changes, out-of-state motor vehicle inspections, general maintenance, brake inspections, and other services for previous and current customers. Purchased in 2010, the East Main Street location serves as a model for what the Morse Road location hopes to achieve: plenty of space, big windows and lots of lighting, and a welcoming atmosphere full of staff members eager to help anyone who walks through the door.

With the new building, Morse Road's cramped offices and cracked lot will be a thing of the past. "Sometimes those trailers were an adventure," said long-term employee Brenda Cabarcas. "During heavy rains the parking lot would flood up to the trailer skirting, and we joked about the possibility of just floating away. During heavy storms it was even worse, and we sometimes weren't joking when we worried about the trailers getting blown over in heavy winds. It was a lot of fun, though. Sometimes I miss working over there instead of at East Main." Since opening in 1989, the Morse Road location has been vital to Miracle Motor Mart's success, and still conducts more sales than their newer, larger location in Whitehall.

With the newly repaved and expanded lot and the brand new, spacious building, Miracle Motor Mart staffers hope to attract clientele who might have been turned off by the appearance of their former three-trailer lot and small inventory display sample. With the new facility, the most showroom-worthy cars won't have to stay at East Main Street, but can be shared between both stores, so that customers at either location can look at the very best that Miracle Motor Mart has to offer. With average sales of almost 250 cars a month, staffers credit their success to their excellent inventory and quick turnaround time. Miracle Motor Mart offers financing for prime, sub-prime, and middle-of-the-road customers, and treats all potential customers with respect, regardless of their credit histories. The company's average model year is 2011, and average mileage per vehicle is about 40,000. Their inventory features seventy-five percent cars, and twenty-five percent vans, trucks, and SUVs, and about eighty percent of those vehicles come directly from auctions.

Miracle Motor Mart specializes in late model, low mileage cars, although co-owners Mike D'Andrea and Mark Meadows, both frequent visitors of local auctions Columbus Fair Auto Auction and Manheim Ohio, also like to keep an eye-out for one-of-a-kind automobiles. "We recently sold a 2001 Chrysler Prowler with 13,000 miles for $28,900," says the general sales manager. "That was a cool one for us. We're always on the look-out for really neat models, the kinds of cars you can't find just anywhere." Currently sitting on the lot at East Main Street is an antique mini-coupe made by Ford in 1940—it's a piece of American history driven by a YAMAHA 1000cc engine and raced around the country throughout its impressive history. "We love finds like that," said the general manager. "Anything to make our inventory more fun."

The new location is scheduled to open in January, and Miracle Motor Mart looks forward to endorsing it via radio, television, and internet advertising. They'll be running an exciting promotion to break in the new store, with more details to come as the grand opening approaches. What is co-owner Mike D'Andrea most looking forward to about the new location? "I'm excited to have the space for 180 cars, so that we can offer our customers a greater selection. And, God willing, I'm excited about twenty more years of good business with good people."
