BioFach India 2013- Concludes -Registers Rs.172 Crores Business Enquiries

BENGALURU, India - Nov. 20, 2013 - PRLog -- The fifth edition of BioFach India, together with India Organic 2013, an initiative of Nuremberg Messe India Pvt. Ltd., in collaboration withInternational Competence Centre for Organic Agriculture (ICCOA) and the Department of Agriculture, Government of Karnataka, witnessed business enquiries worth Rs.172crores across the 3 day trade fair, which includesRs.26 crores of business generatedduring the B2B meetings at the Buyer-Seller lounge alone.

The event saw about 7500 footfall including buyers, sellers, farmers and visitors. The show concluded with 158 exhibitors with participation from 10 state pavilions. Traders from Europe, and countries including the U.S. took part in the fair that had an international exhibition of organic products and an international conference on various aspects related to organic farming and policies. The organic trade fair had 121 business-to-business meetings specially organized to connect the registered producer groups/suppliers to invited buyers delegation.

Talking about this year’s BioFach India event, ManojMenon, Executive Director of ICCOA said “This year’s International Organic trade fairwas particularly fruitful and the most successful one till date as we were able to bring interest elements from various verticals and successfully combine them under one roof.The growing interest of the businesses as well as producer groups, Govt. agencies and consumers augers well for the future of the organic movement in India and the Asian region.

The event saw a good turnout of farmers also. One of the farmers stated that events like BioFach India 2013, provide them with a good opportunity to network and connect with interested parties and that such initiatives helps unite the farming society.

BioFach has been recording a positive trend year on year with this year’s event registering the highest business transaction. The organizers plan to come back with an even bigger BioFach next year.
