Miller YMCA to Host Teen Winter Trip to Mammoth

NEWBURY PARK, Calif. - Nov. 18, 2013 - PRLog -- Newbury Park, Calif.—The Miller Family YMCA of Newbury Park is hosting a three-night winter caravan to Mammoth Lakes for teens in grades 9 through 12. The group leaves January 2 and returns January 5, 2014.

         Campers will explore the outdoors, cook their own food and grow as a group. “We host a number of summer camps. This is our first winter camp,” says Jessica Bringelson, Miller Y membership, family and teen director. “Our trained staff will ensure campers are safe and comfortable. We’re asking that no electronic devices be brought to the camp. That means no cell phones. It will truly be a memorable experience as the campers learn to depend on the strength and abilities of themselves and their fellow campers.”

         Campers will depart at 7:00 a.m., January 2 from the Miller Y with pick up on January 5 at 4:00 p.m. The cost is $375 per camper (plus $40 program membership fee for non-YMCA members).
