Honda Announces Sales Increase For the Month of October 2013

The American Honda Motor Company reported that October 2013 sales totaled 114,538 vehicles, which is a 7.1% increase compared to the 106,973 units sold in October 2012.

The Honda CR-V surpassed its previous October sales record set in October 2006 with sales of 22,554 vehicles. This is an 11.6% increase over the 20,205 CR-V models sold in October 2012. The 2014 Honda CR-V offers a solid combination of power and efficiency in a comfortable, spacious package. The standard 2.4L 4-cylinder engine is capable of 185 hp and 162 lb-ft of peak torque, which allows it to tow up to 1,500 lbs. when properly equipped.

Sales for the Honda Civic were the best they’ve been since 2001, and this October experienced a 32.1% increase in sales over October of last year with a total of 27,328 units sold. The 2013 Honda Civic is the only vehicle in its class to earn the highest rating in the small overlap front crash test, earning a 2013 IIHS Top Safety Pick+.

October sales for the Honda Accord totaled 25,162 units. This pushed the year-to-date units sold over 300,000, which is an 11.2% increase compared to the number of Accord’s sold at this time last year. The 2014 Honda Accord is available as a sedan or a coupe and offers a variety of standard interior conveniences. These features include Pandora radio compatibility across all trim levels, the i-MID infotainment system that communicates with a USB-connected portable audio device, and factory-installed Bluetooth HandsfreeLink to place or receive phone calls with ease.
