Aveda Institute’s Raw Talent Scholarship Contest To Showcase Styles By Promising Future Pros

SAN ANTONIO - Nov. 18, 2013 - PRLog -- Aveda Institute San Antonio is hosting its 6^th Bi-annual Raw Talent Scholarship Contest January 11, 2014. This event will provide promising future beauty professionals an opportunity to showcase their unique talents in hair, make-up, and fashion design.

The talent/fashion show will be held at the Aveda Institute San Antonio located at 21003 Encino Commons, Suite 121.  Doors will open at 6:30pm. * Tickets can be purchased in advance by calling the Institute at 210-222-0023 or at the door.  VIP tickets are $15 and general admission tickets $10. Ticket sales, this year, will benefit Family Violence Prevention Services.

A panel of judges, notable in the Texas Beauty Industry, will evaluate submissions on hair, make-up, and overall appearance for the given theme of the contest.

The Aveda Institute San Antonio will award the winner with a full scholarship to attend theInstitutein the program of choice and a ­chance to fulfill his or her dreams within the beauty industry. There will also be partial scholarship awards for second and third place winners and gifts for all contestants chosen to participate.

Contestants eligible** to compete for The Raw Talent Scholarship Contest will be chosen based on pre-qualifying essays describing a personal passion for a career in the beauty industry.

**The contest is open to all individuals that do not have prior hours of training in a beauty culture or school. All competitors must be at least 17 years of age.

The Raw Talent Scholarship debuted in 2005 with the opening of the Aveda Institute
