Nov. 18, 2013 - PRLog -- These days a new record and videoclip of the classic song "I Heard the bells on Christmas Day" has been released by label Maxy Sound. The song is performed by Riccardo Polidoro and Alison. The lyrics come from Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's poem "Christmas Day" written the 25th of December 1863, after Longnellow's son had been wounded during the battle of New Hope. The arrangement is in the style of Casting Crowns who released the song in 2008.
It's a poem about Christmas and at the same time against war, in which the beauty and sweetness of Christmas and the violence and absurdity of the war are enlightened.
The choice of this song is a clear message: in 1863 Longfellow wrote "God is not dead, nor doth He sleep; The wrong shall fail, the right prevail. With peace on earth, good will to men." It's 2013 and over this past year we still had hundreds of thousands of casualties of war. It is right to keep on with this absurd stupidity?….
