2014 Motor Trend Car of the Year Now Available at Englewood Cliffs Cadillac

(November 13, 2013) – After a rigorous evaluation against strong competition, Motor Trend selected the 2014 Cadillac CTS sedan as its Car of the Year, and the team at Englewood Cliffs Cadillac couldn’t be happier to be able offer the award-winning vehicle to its customers.

According to Motor Trend, the all-new 2014 Cadillac CTS prevailed over one of the most competitive fields in recent memory because it best met the award’s key criteria. The judges were particularly impressed by the CTS’s responsive powertrains and masterful balance of smooth ride and sporty handling.

Motor Trend’s Car of the Year program was open to any all-new or substantially upgraded 2014 automobile. Each vehicle was then put through a series of tests measuring a list of variables, including acceleration, braking and limit handling. The finalist vehicles were then driven on a road loop that provides a range of real-world driving conditions. In the final phase of testing, judges debated and evaluated each vehicle against the award’s six key criteria: design advancement, engineering excellence, efficiency, safety, value and performance of intended function.

The 2014 Cadillac CTS is offered with three powertrains. A 272-hp 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder is standard and EPA-rated for 20/30 mpg city/highway. A 321-hp naturally aspirated V-6 is available. Rear-wheel drive is standard; all-wheel drive is optional. Exclusive to the rear-wheel-drive CTS Vsport is the all-new 420-hp 3.6-liter Cadillac Twin-Turbo V-6 engine. The 2014 CTS is also the first Cadillac vehicle to receive the brand’s eight-speed automatic engine.
